Maaniz overview

Maniz is a social entrepreneurship project with two goals of reducing unnecessary plastic consumption and ensuring fair employment of women headed by households.
The Maniz project started with this slogan: ”We all the people”.
This project considered two goals at the same time: Provide a social product to combat the over-consumption of plastics and Make it accessible to well-informed retailers. Empowering female head-of-households in real-life work environments that have the following characteristics: feminine-coaching with internship-with the support of social work processes-non-profit-oriented and priority-empowerment goals. In this project, Maaniz has empowered female-headed households to cover the social sector not only by fishing but also by creating a safe environment for fishing. Thus, Maniz does not give fish, not just fishing, but he is also trying to change the fishing industry. In the first phase of the project, which began in August 2015, we started with the training of five female households, and in 2016 this number reached 30 households. Because Maaniz has the capacity to empower, worked with other social institutions to build a coalition to create more synergies for empowerment. As such, Maaniz chose the women-headed households covered by the charities and, in a period of three to four months, they were able to work seamlessly with simple and gradually complex tasks. During the course, fair wages were paid according to the condition of the women, in order to give them an incentive to continue their journey. After 2 years, women in the first phase came up with technical and organizational capabilities that were able to get out of the project and enter the phase of more complex productions such as mantle and clothing, even for companies and workshops in the business environment. and now in 2018 with a new social good: BANDIL!

Plastic is the silent killer of nature and human. Our quest is to find practical ways to combat with this killer. To respecting to mother earth we should start with ourselves and don’t wait for public rules and government and the other, because every day, on average, three plastics are converted into non-recyclable waste by every citizen. Waste that stays in nature for at least 200 years. After decomposition and becoming micro-plastic, they also cause cancer in water and soil.

Concept

We started to develop the ideas with “NO TO PLASTIC” hand gesture as a key visual.
And the symbolistic song: Money-Pink Floyd as key sound.

It could lead anti-capitalism look that moves the people against the power of consumerism.

Siberian crane

He came from Siberia finally in 2018. He came alone in the early morning. He came to the Fereydunknar wetland in the north of Iran. He landed in the lake and would be a guest in our country.
